Every season, there is an issue of illegal smuggling of "Sai Nam Pueng" Mandarins from China into Thailand, coinciding with the same period as the Thai "Sai Nam Pueng" Mandarins, which are in season from December to March each year. In response to this, the Thai government has implemented measures to regulate imports of "Citrus," "Mandarins," and "Tangerines," allowing products only from specific countries: Australia, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, USA, Japan, and South Africa.
These restrictions are in place to manage the importation of citrus fruits during the designated season and to curb the illegal entry of products from China, ensuring compliance with import regulations and safeguarding local produce.
