To increase the competitiveness of domestic catfish (pangasius) products into standardized products export, The Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of Tulung Agung Regency in collaboration with GQSP (Global Quality and Standard Program) Indonesia - UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and WWF held training on international SOPs for catfish (pangasius) aquaculture.
One of the biggest problems with catfish products is the quality of catfish meeting processing factory standards, including mud/soil-smell of pangasius and poor meat quality. In the future, local pangasius products will be standardized based on international standards and increase the product competitiveness to compete with Vietnam and Thailand products.
