South African Citrus Exports Data for W21 of 2023

South African citrus exports have continued growing during W21 of 2023 compared to 2022, indicating a strong demand across the market. Lemon exports have seen a major increase in W21 of 2023, with 13.2M cartons shipped, compared to 8.6M in W21 of 2022. Navel oranges shipped at 1.3M cartons, compared to 0.6M cartons for the same period in 2022. Mandarin volumes shipped also increased to 5.6M cartons in 2023 from 3.5M cartons in 2022. Grapefruit is the only citrus variety that has seen a drop in volumes shipped, down from 6.8M in 2022 to 6M cartons during the same period in 2023.
