In spite of the draught, the sowing season started in the Caballero region. Paraguay’s potato production nearly disappeared a few years back and it was only until recently that the country managed to plant 486 hectares. The main regions are Paraguarí, Itapúa, Guairá, and Caazapá. The expected harvest season runs between October and November with a total production of about 5,8K tons.
