The price of soybean meal increased in Russia

Prices for soybean meal have increased by 25-27% over the past week in Russia. That is because the main volumes of soybean meal are imported to Russia from South America. Soybean meal is an important feed component in poultry and livestock. It can be partially replaced by sunflower and rapeseed but cannot be replaced entirely. Therefore, big Russian oil cultures processors are already discussing the construction of new processing facilities operating only on Russian soybeans, knowing the risks and impact it can bring.
