The price of Spanish tangerines continue to rise in W2 due to a shortage, with 30–40% less production YoY, inflation, and strong demand from the European market due to the cold weather forecasts for the coming weeks. The field prices are unusually high for this time of the 2022/23 campaign, and there is uncertainty about whether the price will remain at these high levels for a long time. The current purchase price in Ronda is around USD 1.08/kg in the field, and when the costs of collection, transportation, and packaging are included, the price increases to USD 1.79/kg.
