There is an increase in strawberry offers from the South of Uruguay, which shows more volume and quality than ones produced in Northern areas. The long truck freight from the North and the warm spring temperatures affects the maturity of the Northern fruits. The strawberries from the South are usually bigger and have a longer shelf life cycle.
