Strawberry prices are decreasing in the Russian market

Prices for garden strawberries in Russia have been declining rapidly for the second week. The supply of this berry from the open ground is rapidly increasing, which forces producers to reduce prices for garden strawberries. On the 28th of May, the price for garden strawberries from the open ground varied at 180-300 RUB/KG (2.45-4.08 USD/KG), which is on average 21% cheaper than a week earlier. Another factor for a strawberry price reduction on the Russian market is the imported strawberry offer from Turkey with a price of 150 RUB/KG (2.04 USD/KG).
