Iran fishery products are expected to increase by 7% this year from the total output of 1.28 million tons last year to 1.37 million tons by the end of the current fiscal year. The country has been working to increase the sturgeon production and last year Iran's sturgeon output was at 2,500 tons, expecting to increase the production this year. Iran exported a total of 146 KMT of fishery products last year generating nearly $540 million in revenue while fishery imports were at 29 KMT in the same period.
