Fruit trees that bloomed due to warm weather during the first 15 days of March throughout Turkiye are at risk due to heavy rain, hail, snowfall, and frost experienced at the end of March. The sudden weather changes caused most flowers to fall off, leading to a decrease in the expected harvest volume for the 2023 season. While it can be beneficial for trees to experience frost and a small amount of flower loss, a loss of almost 100% of the flowers, even with new blooms, can lead to a significant decrease in production.
