Sugar cane prices in Hau Giang decreased sharply compared to the beginning of the crop season

The reason for the drop in sugarcane prices is the rainy season as the demand for soft drinks has plummeted due to the rainy weather. Although the price of sugarcane decreased, it is still profitable compared to selling raw sugarcane to the sugar mill, because farmers do not have to pay labor costs to harvest, transport costs or examines sugar reserves, etc. Therefore sugarcane growers still make profits between 258.5 - 302 USD / square kilometer, after production costs.
