Demand for Chinese pears and Fuji apples has significantly increased in Indonesia and it is forecasted to last until the end of September due to a governmental policy named Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH). This policy targets underprivileged communities and provides staple food assistance such as rice, cooking oil, and fruits. Although the demand for both fruits increased, the price is still stable due to enough inventory in local markets, and higher volumes that will be imported in the upcoming weeks.
