Sweet Sapphire variety in short supply but Sweet Globe is due for harvest

The main table grape growing regions around Mildura and Red Cliffs received between 50-100mm of rain in 24 hours. Growers are keeping a close eye on sugar levels and coloring. For one popular variety, Sweet Sapphire, the crop volume in the area is down by around 20% this year, yet popularity from markets like Korea has increased. However, another popular variety, Sweet Globe, will begin harvest this week with diameters reaching between 23-25mm.
