Taiwan cherry importers avoid ocean shipment due to high risk of delay

Taiwanese buyers are importing cherries from Chile, New Zealand, and Australia. Due to the high risk of ocean shipment delay and high value of the fruit, buyers are trying to minimize the risk of taking ocean shipment for season 2021. Cherry is a popular fruit in Taiwan before and during the holiday season; the sales would be great until the Chinese New Year, which is the end of January 2022. Most buyers are avoiding ocean shipment this year and trying to fly as much cherry as possible before the Chinese New Year.
