Taiwan Chinese Honey Orange (Pokan) expecting low yield in 2020

Taiwan's Chinese honey orange or also known as Ponkan is a popular fruit in Chinese community during Chinese New Year as it also represents good luck. Pokan is widely grown in the USA, Brazil, Japan and China, however, Taiwan's Ponkan is consider much sweeter and juicier compare to China's, which many consumer favors. Taiwan exports 6.9 Million USD of Pokan in 2019, the top 3 major countries are Singapore, Hong Kong and Canada.
The season for Chinese honey orange will begin in November, however, as predicts by local supplier, due to only few precipitation during raining season in April and May, they are expecting the 2020 season with low yield and higher costs.
