Taiwan lettuce buyers require pre-chilling process

Taiwan buyers for South Korean lettuce are expecting the lettuce to be treated with a chilling facility before loading to containers. The chilling process allows the lettuce to cool down and removes the excess moisture before loading the container, which can increase the shelf life and in better quality upon delivery. The chilling process is not available for all farms in South Korea, thus some lettuce arrives in bad quality just after 5 days of transit.
