Taiwan lettuce shortage continues, buyer flying lettuce from USA

Taiwan lettuce shortage continues as abnormal warmth in September and damaged lettuce in the early harvest. Taiwanese importers are importing from the USA via air shipment for the shortage. It has been reported that a 13kg box can be sold at as high as USD 142 in the wholesale market.
