As Taiwan's pineapple enters peak season at the end of April of 2021, pineapple prices have dropped 30% compared to the beginning of the season around mid-March. The Taiwan government's announcement on freight aid after China's import ban on Taiwan pineapple at the end of February has led to orders flooding in from Hong Kong and Japan which also push the pineapple prices to a high point in March.
