Oversupply of Taiwanese pineapples in Hong Kong market

According to local sources, there have been too many pineapples going to Hong Kong for the first three weeks of March 2021 after the announcement of China's import ban of Taiwan's pineapple on Feb. 26, 2021. The price of Taiwan pineapple began to drop in the retail market in Hong Kong. The pineapple season has not yet reached its peak thus, exporters and buyers should be alert of oversupply in the market.
