Taiwan's very first HACCP slaughterhouse is certified on April 19, 2021. Taiwan has more than 60 slaughterhouses and none of the slaughterhouses is certified for the past 40 years. Since Taiwan was declared free from foot and mouth disease in 2020 and allowed back to the international market, Taiwan has not yet succeeded to export pork. The supply chain is planning to upgrade the facility, cold-chain to gain competitiveness in the international market.
