The major export country for Taiwan's seabass is the USA and HK. However, due to the COVID-19 impact, the export volume in 2020 is down for 44% compare to 2019. Not only export market suffers, due to excess supply of seabass, but the domestic prices of seabass have also been affected. The yield of seabass was only adjusted back in March after the US shutdown. That will reflect after September's production volume as well and before that, the price of seabass will remain low. The supplier has processed seabass into frozen slices to minimize the damage during this difficult period.
