Taiwan's demand for eggs has increased as summer vacation starts, more demands are coming from restaurants and hotels. The daily shortage of eggs is estimated to be around a million. The farm price of eggs will increase to 2.36USD per kilogram from 2.25USD per kilogram and the wholesale price of 2.88USD per kilogram from 2.77USD per kilogram, making a record high since 2022. The cost of eggs has increased by 23% since the beginning of the year 2022.
