Tanzania government aid palm oil production

Tanzania government have disbursed 1.3bn to TARI(Tanzania Agriculture Research Institute) to assist palm oil producer to increase palm fruit production. The Institute's aim is to produce 5,000,000 seedlings annually and also impart knowledge and skills to extension officers and farmers to cultivate the cash crop professionally.
Palm oil is the most consumed edible oil in Tanzania due to its widespread availability and cost-effectiveness.
