The Tanzanian Ministry of Agriculture has issued the monthly rice wholesale prices for the month of December. The average wholesale price of rice significantly increased by 70.2% YoY in December 2022 and by 49.7% compared to the five-year average. Additionally, the average wholesale rice price increased by 2.2% MoM, from USD 116.2/100kg bag in November 2022 to USD 118.8/100kg bag in December 2022.
