Thailand recently decided to grant duty-free, quota-free (DFQF) market access to Bangladeshi items in its market till 2026 in order to improve two-way trade volume. The statement came as Thailand's provision of such services to Bangladesh came to an end on 31 December 2020. It is past time to study Thailand's market position in order to design appropriate strategies for reaping the greatest benefits from the DFQF market facilities made available to Bangladesh. Thailand receives a large number of vegetables, tea, and frozen seafood from Bangladesh. Thailand is a big untapped bilateral trade possibility for the country. Since these items are in high demand in Thailand, Bangladesh may earn a large quantity of foreign currency by exporting them through Thailand's simple access, the DFQF. Bangladesh should likewise take use of Thailand's DFQF market access to gain a competitive edge.
