The dried shiitake mushroom prices are still stable in Taiwan

The dried shiitake mushrooms, supplied throughout the year, are currently in the main production season. They are affected by the high temperature and dryness during the daytime. During the growth period, the output is slightly reduced by 20% compared with last year. However, due to the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the demand for group meals in restaurants has dropped slightly, and the overall supply and demand are well balanced. The current price of shiitake mushrooms in the production area is USD 32-43 per kg, which is similar to the same period of previous years. The supply volume is sufficient and the price is stable.
