The provinces affected by the earthquake in Turkey are the leading agricultural lands, with 9% of total vegetables and 17% of fruit produced from these provinces. For example, dried apricots, citrus fruits, plums, walnuts, vegetables, tobacco, honey, spices, and livestock are produced by these 11 provinces. After the earthquake, trade in these provinces stopped, and the products were left on the trees or in warehouses, decreasing supplies in the market. The earthquake damage will also affect 2024's product volumes and prices, with supplies expected to be low accompanied by a subsequent increase in prices.
