Kahramanmaras is the biggest walnut production city in Turkey and the expected production yield of 2020 is 20 kmt. The production yield has increased by 33% compared to the previous year thanks to the increase in the production areas.
The production area is around 10,000 hectares and nearly half of the production is exported to Iran, Iraq, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. The price of walnut varies between 0.04 and 0.06% per walnut depending on the size and quality.
