Vanilla beans from Indonesia have now been able to enter the French market as export was successfully done recently by the exporter from Flores regency in the East Nusa Tenggara province. This export of 2 MT of vanilla beans was the first time from the Central Indonesia region as most of the exported vanilla from Indonesia has been mostly sourced from other major producing-region such as East Java and Central Java. At the moment, the sourcing of vanilla from Central Java and East Java is currently not possible, since the supply of vanilla from these two regions is limited due to the fact that vanilla is not in season yet. Still, the exporters from these provinces expect that they can continue exporting their product once the harvest season comes in December this year and January 2021.
