In a market led by bottled PDO wine, the amount obtained during the first 9 months of 2021 was EUR 120 million, at an average price of more than EUR 5 per liter. The exported volume grew by 43.4%, amounting to 44 million liters, at an average price of EUR 2.73 per liter, compared to the average price of EUR 1.20 for Spanish wine in world trade.

The export volume was recovered in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, which are markets that Spain had to bear losses of more than 40% in volume and 30% in value. Brazil has been one of the few countries that have increased its import from Spain in 2020. Meanwhile, export to Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, and Chile increased.
