First Chilean Table Grapes Using the Systems Approach Arrive in the US

After 24 years of negotiations, Chilean table grapes have been successfully shipped to the United States (US) under the Systems Approach protocol. This new process, which replaces the traditional methyl bromide fumigation, is expected to improve the quality and condition of the grapes when they arrive in the US market. The shift to the Systems Approach allows for a more sustainable and efficient method of pest control, benefiting both the producers in Chile and consumers in the US by ensuring fresher, higher-quality fruit.
