The French tomato campaign is still in low volume, mainly due to the using less heat in the greenhouse amid soaring gas price. However, weather being not very favorable to consumption. The range of varieties is beginning to expand and segmentation (ribbed, aumônières, mixed old varieties, Crimean black) is diversifying the offer. In a context of low competitiveness with imported products (Spain, Morocco), prices for grape tomatoes are maintaining while prices are eroding for small fruits and for segmentation (8% for ribbed tomatoes compared to S14).
