In the span of July to December 2020, it has been recorded that the import volume of buffalo meat to Indonesia has grown to the level of 2000 MT, up from the recorded import quantity from the year before at 1800 MT, or a 10% increase this year. This growth has been driven by the demand from the national consumers that have used buffalo meat as a substitute for beef that has been sold at a relatively higher price in the entirety of 2020, due to the higher price set by regular exporting countries such as Brazil and Australia.
