In the last two weeks of Apr-24, the Vietnamese market welcomed the first air-transported shipments of sought-after blueberries from the United States (US). Vietnamese consumers have increasingly recognized the health benefits of blueberries in recent years, driving up interest despite their higher prices.
In W17, supermarkets, and retail outlets are the main channels for these blueberries, priced at approximately USD 5 to USD 5.5 per 125 grams (g) punnet, or around USD 40 per kilogram (kg). Despite the higher cost, the limited availability of this fruit from importers has generated excitement among buyers, highlighting the growing demand for this nutritious fruit.
