Following the increasing number of cows in the West Java province as a part of a production intensification by the local government, the ability by the local farmers in this province to produce fresh cow milk has also followed suit. In the entire month of July, the farmers in this province collectively produced around 40 MT of fresh milk daily, which is a quite significant increase from their production capacity in the span of January to June 2020 at an average of 30 MT/day. Currently, around 80% of this production output is distributed to the packaged cow milk manufacturers in the region, to be further processed into pasteurized milk and value-added milk, with the remaining 20% distributed to home industries and also regular consumers through traditional markets.
