The market share of Vietnamese shrimp exported to the US and EU increased

After 1 year of the EVFTA comes into effect, shrimp exports to the EU market recorded good growth. Shrimp exports to the EU reached USD 576 million, increasing over 17% compared to the same period in 2020. Shrimp exports to the US reached over USD 1 billion, increasing over 22% compared to 2020, increasing the market share from 11% to 13%. Vietnamese shrimp also increased its competitiveness after the US doubled the anti-dumping tax on shrimp imported from India, the largest shrimp supplier in the US market.
