Sanipes in cooperation with the University of Arizona, will articulate their efforts to make a Plan that will be aligned with the needs of the sector to contribute to sustainable development and increase their exports.
The National Fisheries Health Agency - SANIPES, pointed out that this cooperation instrument will allow to develop collaborative work with researchers from the University of Arizona, receive technical assistance in the diagnosis of shrimp diseases, promote the exchange of specialists and researchers, and propose in joint research projects.
One of the first actions will be to develop, in the last months of the year, an investigation of the Infectious Hypothermic and Hematopoietic Necrosis (IHHNV) disease of shrimps, the genetic sequencing of the strains isolated in the country and the development of bioassays and to know the impact of this in the prawns.
