In a public-private alliance, the Exporters Association (ADEX) inaugurated at September 30, 2020, the Expoalimentaria Virtual 2020 Trade Show, which had showcased the food offer from Peru and other countries and in which they had also hold conferences lectures in order to provide specialized information to entrepreneurs on issues related to technology, safety, among others.
The event counted with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (Minagri), Ministry of Foreign Relations (RR.EE.) and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PromPerú). The organizers projected businesses for around US $ 800 million.
An average of 500 companies had presented their products to more than 400 buyers from five continents, including importers specialized in organic products looking for certified ingredients for the food industry.
