The pandemic increases demand for milk and cheese in Spain

The pandemic and lockdown restrictions have had a positive impact on the consumption of milk and cheese in Spain. Recent data shows that the consumption of milk increased by 19.9% and that of cheese 14.5% during the peak of the pandemic compared to the same period last year. Whilst the demand for these items remains strong, experts are unsure how long this will last, but nevertheless remain optimistic about the near future.
