Chilled fresh Salmon price surged to its December peak

Guangzhou customs carried out a random inspection on cold chain products last week, and it is expected to affect the chilled fresh salmon market in Guangzhou and even the whole country. Under the COVID situation, flight delays, strict inspections, and remaining stocks have driven the price of salmon up significantly.

As importers turn cautious on placing orders, the products currently available in the country are running low. On December 31st, salmon was quoted at the highest price in Decemeber.
