As we reach the end of September, the first prices of the Peruvian Red Globes appear for spot markets only, which can allow extremely high market prices to be paid. Panama, Honduras and other Central American countries are the ones that lead the export prices buying at USD 18.00/19.00/20.00 for L/XL/J, respectively. At the same time, neighboring countries of Peru, such as Bolivia to the South and Ecuador to the North, are buying in at high prices, pushing producers to sell their fruit. However, this market situation, like every year, should begin to settle by the second week of October, when there will be more volumes of grapes, thus normalizing the price.
