In 2020, Cameroon exported around 187,000 MT of fresh bananas to EU countries. This figure is expected to rise to 200,000 MT as one of the major producers the #CDC has timidly restarted exporting after two years of no activity.
Yet, this situation is far from rejoicing since the government has clearly stated its goal to reach 500,000 MT of banana export by 2030. Bridging this gap would be a business opportunity for both local and foreign investors.
