Coconut suppliers are struggling at the moment due to the typhoon that struck the Visayas region recently. There were plantations that were destroyed, thus they are compelled to transfer from one area to another to check other coconut trees to harvest from, which might take a couple of months before operations can push through once more. The Philippine Coconut Authority is already doing its best by providing funds to a couple of suppliers to be able to continue business and pay for workers. They are also providing transport for equipment and other machinery. Suppliers in Visayas region are aiming to produce coconut products by end of December 2020.
