In Turkey, the 2022 price level for unhulled Chad-origin sesame is around USD 1,500/MT CIF Mersin. However, with the new crop's arrival in the market, buyers predict a serious drop in prices due to the significant increase in supply. The expected sesame yield in Chad for the 2022/23 season is around 190,000MT, nearly double that of the 2021/22 season. In W45, prices for Chad origin-sesame are reported to have declined to USD 1,300/MT CIF Mersin.
