Through the National Agricultural Advisory Service (NAADS), the Ugandan government has allocated USD 2.36M to support a strategic intervention to increase production of oil seed crops. The move will see not only an increase in production but also an improvement in quality as new post-harvest handling facilities will be constructed in the growing areas. The intervention will be implemented through partnerships with farmer groups and cooperatives.
