The unusually cool weather from late April to mid-May affected the forest blueberry harvest

The beginning of the harvest showed a reduced volume of blueberries with smaller sizes due to the cool weather in which the bees could not pollinate the plants during flowering. Also, the hot dry weather in June did not allow the berries to fill up with moisture to the fullest. Therefore, prices for the first harvested blueberries were set at a high level of USD 3.00/kg.
