According to the Vietnam Pepper Association, in the first half of 2020, Vietnam imported 14,899 MT of peppercorn including 11,283 MT of black peppercorn and 3,616 MT of white peppercorn. It is 34.3% less than in the same period in 2019. Besides that, Vietnam's peppercorn export volume also decreased by 49% compared to last year. It is due to the COVID-19 epidemic, which is expected to reduce the purchasing power of developed nations.
