The Tuna Industry in Ecuador does not have a specific closure of the fishing season. Tuna is available throughout the whole year. However, to control the raw material supply and due to sustainability matters, the government demands that all fishing vessels stop their operations in one of the following periods: from End July to Early October or Early November to Mid January.
