Turkey continues to be the world leader in raisin production

At the 2020 International Raisin Producing Countries Conference, the harvest, domestic consumption, and export expectations of the producers for 2020 were shared.

Turkey declared that it will produce 271 kmt of raisins in the 2020 - 2021 season which makes up nearly 18% of the world's raisin production. The United States will follow Turkey with 196 kmt. The raisin exporting countries expect that there will be around 887 kmt of raisins available for export in the 2020 - 2021 season and estimate that 677 kmt of it will be exported. Turkey is expecting to export 241 kmt in the new season and aiming to have 36% of the global raisin export market share.
