Turkey estimates sugar beet production to reach 21 M tons

According to the latest industry update, Turkey is going to have a production output of 21 million tons of sugar beets and 2.8 million tons of sugar by the end of the 2020/21 harvest season.
It is estimated that the country will have exported 150 KMT sugar produced from sugar beet at the end of the 2020/21 marketing year.
Last year Turkey imported 169 KMT of sugar valued at $65 million while the country exported value-added sugar products valued at $1.9 billion.
